Roles and Responsibilities

A Research Innovation and Entrepreneurship Promotion (RIEP) Cell plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in the college. The primary objective is to create an ecosystem that encourages students to explore innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurial skills, and promote a research culture in the college.

• ★ Organize innovation challenges and competitions to inspire students to think creatively and come up with novel solutions to real-world problems.
• ★ Provide guidance for students interested in starting their own ventures.
• ★ Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on entrepreneurship, business planning, and startup management.
• ★ Offer training programs on various aspects of innovation, funding opportunities, and entrepreneurship to enhance the skills of students.
• ★ Establish mentorship programs connecting experienced entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry professionals with aspiring students.
• ★ Provide guidance on protecting and managing Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) arising from research and innovation.
• ★ Build and maintain strong ties with industries to facilitate knowledge exchange, internships, and collaborative projects.
• ★ Institute awards to recognize outstanding contributions in innovation and entrepreneurship.
• ★ Engage alumni who are successful entrepreneurs or involved in research to contribute back to the college community.
• ★ Promote and facilitate students engagement in small-scale research projects relevant to their academic curriculum.
• ★ Assist faculty in securing research grants and funding for their projects.
• ★ Foster collaborations with industry partners, research institutions, and other colleges to enhance research opportunities for the college community.
• ★ Conduct and foster participation of faculty members in refresher courses and workshops focused on research methodology and allied topics.
• ★ Extend support to faculty members pursuing research endeavors by offering necessary assistance and resources.
• ★ Oversee and manage the publication of the in-house journal ‘LAKSHYA’.
• ★ Provide a platform for faculty and students to publish their research findings, fostering a culture of academic sharing and collaboration.
• ★ Providing assistance to academic departments in the coordination and execution of seminars, conferences, and other research initiatives.
• ★ Develop strategies and plans for the sustained growth of the RIEP cell and its initiatives.
